So, Christianity relies on Jesus not being a false prophet...?

You can tell he wasn't a real prophet by the fact that not all his prophecies came true. Then again, it was the fault of those who created him (made an image of him) in their book, etc., so a fictional character can't really be blamed for the errors of those who created him.
