Is Fidel Castro the greatest guerilla leader of all time?

Whatever one might think of him, does he not deserve at least some respect for successfully defeating a CIA-backed regime change effort at a time when the CIA was overthrowing democratically elected governments in Latin America and the Middle East and replacing them with brutal right-wing dictatorships?
