I been seeing this guy going on 5yrs and we have never been on a date and i have never met his mom. why?

at first we were great than when we got to the 2nd year, then followed 3rd of not really being together, but still seeing each other. He was seeing other women and i remained just seeing him. I was in love although this man wouldn't do nothing for me, not even cut my gr, but i never left. the 4th year, he moved to atl, i found out I was pregnant, but I lost the baby. He came back and took care of me, we got closer and communicated better. we stopped having at that point, he babysitted my kids everynight, he cooked, fixed things around the house, became that sweet man and I loved him for it. now that its better between us, i ask him why haven't i met his mom and he said its not a big deal and he blew it off. its the same thing when i ask him about going out. whats up with that
